Educational Studies Minor

Watson College of Education offers an interdisciplinary minor in Educational Studies for students in all majors who are interested in issues of education but do not wish to pursue teacher licensure. The minor draws on a wide range of disciplines such as history, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, political science, gender and cultural studies, and comparative and international studies. Students will develop a knowledge base that encourages their development into informed and socially engaged stakeholders who have essential skills to critically engage in research, education, and diverse communities. Students will complete 21 hours for the minor - 12 hours in Education and 9 hours of elective credit.
