Computer Requirement:


To satisfy the computer requirement for the B.A. degree in Sociology a student must successfully complete SOC 301  (CRM 301 ).

Oral Communication Requirement:


To satisfy the oral communication requirement for the B.A. degree in Sociology a student must successfully complete SOC 490 , SOC 496  or SOC 499 .

Applied Learning Requirement:


To satisfy the applied learning requirement for the B.A. degree in Sociology a student must successfully complete one of the following:  SOC 256  (CRM 256 ), SOC 300  (CRM 300 ), SOC 301  (CRM 301 ), SOC 360 , SOC 391 , SOC 490 , or SOC 496 .

Core requirements:


Option 1. General Sociology:


This option enables students to further their understanding and appreciation of sociology. It allows students to take courses in a broad range of sociology topics. This option is recommended for students who plan to attend graduate or professional school. In addition to the required core courses, students must complete:

Option 2. Public Sociology:


This option provides intensive training in using sociology to inform real life social issues and opportunities to conduct quality, meaningful research that has an impact on the community. In addition to the required core courses, students must complete:
