Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor

Requirements for Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation:

The Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is open to all non-business majors and requires 18 credit hours of study. Admission to the minor requires achieving a grade of ‘B’ or higher in EBD 280 .

Fundamental Courses: 9 credit hours

3 additional credit hours from:

EBD 281 - Creativity and Innovation or, an approved equivalent by the Department Chair.

6 additional hours the following list of approved courses:

CLR 310 - Scientific Writing

CLR 350 - Understanding Medical Terminology and Clinical Endpoints
CLR 420 - Regulatory Affairs
COM 271 - Small-Group Communication
COM 378 - Business and Professional Communication
EBD 354 - Managing Innovation and Technology
EBD 482 - Global Entrepreneurship and Exporting
FST 204 - The Business of Film
MGT 350 - Principles of Management
SPN 310 - Business Spanish
In the case of restricted classes approval must be secured by the appropriate Department Chair. Students may choose any of the optional courses to meet the 6 hours; however students are encouraged to choose courses that constitute a focus, e.g. entrepreneurship in the Arts, in Science, in Technology as examples. Students should confer with academic advisors when determining a cluster of the three courses. Students must earn a C- or above in all classes in the minor.
