The College of Arts and Sciences offers an interdisciplinary minor in Neuroscience which provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of this emerging field which brings together the study of brain, behavior and cognition. The curriculum is designed to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the science through coursework from several different departments and to allow students to master the fundamentals of the field using both traditional classroom and applied learning venues. Students should contact one of the Neuroscience Minor coordinators for more information.

Requirements for a Minor in Neuroscience:
All students must complete five required core courses (14 hours) and 3 credit hours of neuroscience research (491 or 499). An additional 6 credit hours of electives selected from the list below are required to complete the minor. At least nine hours must come from courses outside the student’s major (including major requirements outside the discipline - e.g., CHM 101 and CHM 102 for BIO or CHM majors and BIO 201 for PSY majors).
