CHM 518 - Pharmaceutical Process Chemistry

Course Description: Introduction to process research and development. Subjects include the development and optimization of chemical and biochemical processes for the safe, high quality, efficient and sustainable production of pharmaceutical compounds; pilot plant procedures, scale up and risk assessments for product manufacture; application of process analytical technologies and Quality by Design Principles.

Credit Hours: 3

Additional Restrictions/ Requirements: Two semesters of undergraduate organic chemistry
