CHM 512 - Structure Elucidation Course Description: Modern approaches to structure elucidation of organic compounds with a focus on Mass Spectrometry and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Includes fundamentals of both techniques but directed primarily on solution of real-world molecular characterization problems. Special discussion topics include biomolecular structure elucidation, metabolomics, and alternate structure identification techniques (IR, SCXRD, MicroED, AFM).

Corequisite Courses: None Additional Restrictions/ Requirements: Two semesters of undergraduate organic chemistry. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
