THR 334 - Audition Techniques for Stage and Film


Designed to apply the skill set acquired during acting study to typical industry casting opportunities. Four auditioning contexts: theatrical, commercial, film, and television. Students are presented with actual scripts and scenes used in entertainment industry situations. Auditions are taped for instructor, student, and peer critique. Upon successful completion, students gain understanding of the audition process, including presentation of self in an appropriate, professional manner.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: THR 332  
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Prerequisite course or consent of instructor. Junior or senior theatre majors only.
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
