NSG 345 - Health Maintenance Needs of Young Children

Prerequisite for nursing: PSY 220  or PSY 223 . Prerequisites for education: HEA 201 , HEA 207 . Corequisite for nursing: NSGL 345. Corequisite for education: SOC 349 . Focuses on health maintenance needs of young children (birth through kindergarten). From the perspective of teachers and caretakers, it addresses activities of daily living, environmental safety, common health problems and infection control within community daycare and preschool settings. This course is designed for non-nursing majors.
