HST 322 - History of Germany 1648-1890 The emergence of modern Germany from the end of the Thirty Years’ War through the Bismarckian empire. Topics include the rise of Prussian absolutism, the Enlightenment in Germany, the impact of the French Revolution, Romanticism, the revolutions of 1848, unification, and constitutional problems of the empire.
