ENG 383 - Classics Reconsidered Study of classic works of poetry, fiction, and drama commonly taught in high school English classes. Includes an examination of what constitutes a literary ‘classic,’ who labels classics, and how the social status of certain literary works influences what is commonly taught in high school English classes. Especially recommended for prospective teachers.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: Prerequisite or corequisite ENG 103 or ENG 201 , or consent of instructor. ENG 205 is strongly recommended. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
