GLY 431 - Sedimentology and Stratigraphy Introduction to the observation, description, and interpretation of sediment and sedimentary rock; the physical and chemical processes controlling weathering, sediment transport, deposition, and diagenesis; and the interpretation of depositional environments and layered rock successions. Field trips; fees may be required. Three lecture and three laboratory hours each week.
