LAT 101 - Introductory Latin I Emphasis on achievement of an active knowledge of the Latin language and reading ability in classical Latin. Intensive study of Latin grammar, aural/oral practice; reading from Latin authors, especially Ovid; discussions to introduce the students to the literature, culture and society of ancient Rome.
