HST 387 - History of the Middle East in the 18th and 19th Centuries

Historical survey of Ottoman reform in Istanbul and the provinces. Topics include economic, military, legal, cultural reforms, the rise of ethnic nationalism and the role of the West in producing and influencing change.

Credit Hours: 3

Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Any HST course or consent of the instructor.
