HST 378 - Gandhi and Gandhism


The ideas of Mahatma Gandhi who led India’s struggle for independence from British rule. Topics include the evolution and application of his ideas of non-violent resistance and civil disobedience, his thinking on economy, society and state, their impact on the civil rights movement in the United States and the struggle against apartheid in South Africa.

Credit Hours: 3
