HST 374 - History of West Africa

Survey of West Africa from earliest times to the present. Topics include early inhabitants, trans-Saharan trade, Muslim empires, pre-colonial kingdoms and peoples, slavery and the slave trade, colonialism, independence and recent events.

Credit Hours: 3

Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Any HST course or consent of instructor.
