SEC 505 - Advanced Theory and Practice in Teaching Secondary Social Studies Course Description: Focus on the connections between theory and practice in teaching social studies with emphasis on the role of inquiry in informing instruction. Opportunities to design and implement lessons in social studies using a variety of instructional strategies that meet curriculum objectives, as well as address the needs of diverse learners. Reflection and self analysis are emphasized throughout the course.
