GLS 528 - Cultural Images of America in the 60s Course Description: An interdisciplinary examination of the United States in the 1960s, with a focus upon such major political, social, and cultural developments as the anti-Vietnam war movement, the free speech movement, the civil rights movement, the women’s movement, the sexual revolution, the Black Arts movement and the environmental movement as well as the evolution of a distinctive counterculture.
