BIO 578 - Biology of Harmful Algae


Course Description: Identification (taxonomy), ecology, physiology and toxin production by both marine and freshwater microalgae. Toxin structure and mode of action, effects on humans and public health, environmental damage and possible mitigation/management strategies.

Prerequisite Courses: BIO 205 with minimum grade of C and BIO 446 with minium grade of C
