PSY 521 - Applied Behavior Analysis: Skill Acquisition Credits: 3 Prerequisite: PSY 517 or permission of instructor. An examination of the methodological, empirical, and conceptual issues involved in the extension of behavior-analytic principles to applied settings, with a focus on skill aqcuisition and behavior-change systems. Topics include shaping, task anlyses, chaining, verbal behavior, stimulus equivalence, functional communication training, errorless learning, direct instruction, precision teaching, token economies, behavioral contracts, group contingencies, and self-management.
