PSY 551 - Intervention Strategies in Alcohol and Drug Problems Credits: 3 Prerequisite: PSY 545 , PSY 550 , and permission of instructor. Review of multidisciplinary theory and practice in treatment of alcohol and drug dependent clients. Topics include nondirective approaches, cognitive/behavioral approaches, 12-step approaches, family therapy, and group process. Format includes lecture and experiential exercises.
