PSY 518 - Applied Behavior Analysis: Behavior Reduction Credits: 3 Prerequisite: PSY 517 or permission of instructor. An examination of methodological, empirical, and conceptual isseus involved in the extension of behavior-analytic principles to applied settings, with a focus on assessment and treatment of problem behavior. Topics include preference and reinforcer assessments, functional behavioral assessments, and function-based treatments. Subspecialities sucha s contingency management safety skills training, habit reversal, and behavioral approaches to health and fitness are also covered.
