LIC 535 - Advanced Social Studies Methods, 6-9

Prerequisites: LIC 518 and EDN 520. Corequisite: LIC 539. Examines how the social studies curriculum can be organized to meet the learning needs of middle grades students. Emphasis on selection and preparation of appropriate materials, identification of instructional procedures, data-based decision making and the relevance of social inquiry to the real world. Field experience required. **Additional liability insurance expense may be necessary.**
