CSC 540 - Advanced Scientific Computing Credits: 3 Prerequisite: CSC 340 or equivalent. This course introduces the underlying theory, design, implementation, application, and analysis of numerical algorithms fundamental to scientific computation. Topics include Fourier and wavelet transforms spectral analysis, energy distributions, convolution, correlation, windowed transforms, and filtering. Other topics include constrained nonlinear and combinatorial optimization, curve fitting, data mining, clustering, and fuzzy logic.
Repeat Policy: Course may only be taken once for credit
