(PHY 575 ) Prerequisite: MAT 152  or MAT 162  ,and PHY 102  or PHY 202 . An introduction to the descriptive and dynamical features of ocean circulation. Topics include: the physical properties of seawater; oceanic heat budget; dynamics of ocean currents; descriptive oceanography; waves and tides.
