OCN 490 - Oceanography Capstone

Prerequisites: Senior standing, completion of other core requirements and at least 15 hours of electives toward the major. Integration of principles, theories, and methods of oceanography. Students select a topic, problem, or question and design a hands-on field and/or laboratory research project. Written and oral reports and group discussions of research findings; meets the applied learning requirement. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Information Literacy. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Quantitative and Logical Reasoning. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Capstone Course.
