NSG 408 - Population and Community Health Nursing Credits: 5
Prerequisites: NSG 316 , NSG 321 , NSG 323 , NSG 404 , NSG 406 , NSG 415 , NSG 480 , NSG 482 . Content synthesizes baccalaureate coursework to address population/community health nursing. Content addresses social and ecological determinants of health through ethics, public policy, health education, epidemiology, leadership, case management, partnerships and technology examining outcomes for an evidence-based, culturally sensitive practice. The capstone project applies course content through active learning field experiences and an e-portfolio. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Capstone Course; University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Living in Our Diverse Nation and University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom.
