NSG 404 - Health Policy

Prerequisite/Corequisite: NSG 316. Open only for students enrolled in the RN BS option of the B.S. Nursing. A debate-seminar course focusing on social, psychological, cultural, economic, political, legal, and ethical environments which shape health care delivery systems. Advanced nursing practice in primary care is studied relative to inter-professional relationships and leadership in health policy, health care reform, successful models of health delivery, poverty, research, and interdisciplinary health management.
