Prerequisite: sophomore standing or consent of instructor. Origin, content, and policy impact of public opinion in democratic nations. Emphasis on the contemporary American experience and the genesis of mass movements. Partially satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Understanding Human Institutions and Behaviors. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Information Literacy.
