PLS 309 - The American Chief Executive

Prerequisite: PLS 101 or consent of instructor. Examination of the concept of a political chief executive as a coordinate member, with legislature and courts, of a government team. Emphasis will be placed on the powers, roles, decision-making processes, and institutional development of the offices of president, governor, and mayor.
