PLS 307 - The American Legislature

Prerequisite: PLS 101 or consent of instructor. Functional study of legislative bodies and lawmaking. Among the topics studied will be the role of legislatures; the impact of constituencies, parties, interest groups, interpersonal relationships and other pressures on legislators; legislative structure; and the decision-making process.
