HST 448 - Seminar: U.S. National Security History Credits: 3 (HST 528 ) Prerequisite: HST 105 -HST 106 , HST 290 . Intensive examination of major themes and events in the evolution of U. S. national security and defense policy, the uses of national power, and the role of military affairs from the colonial period to the present. Examples of topics: the Vietnam War, the use of air power, U. S. imperialism. May be repeated under a different subtitle. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Capstone Course. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive.
