HST 367 - History of Colonial Latin America Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Any HST course or consent of instructor. Survey of the conquest and colonization of Latin America from pre-Columbian civilizations through independence in the early nineteenth century, focusing on the creation of new societies shaped by the interaction of Europeans, Indians, and Africans. Partially satisfies University Studies III: Thematic Transdisciplinary Cluster/Global Diversity.
