FST 445 - Film RhetoricCredits: 3 Prerequisite: FST major or permission of instructor. Study the ways in which film treats rhetorical issues through representational, stylistic, historical, and cultural means, with special emphasis upon how film creates meaning visually and stylistically through apparatus. Rhetorical and cinematic criticism will be stressed. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive. Satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Quantitative and Logical Reasoning.
