Catalogue Change: 8/13/12
On June 15, 2012, the UNC Board of Governors approved the request to change the name of the Donald R. Watson School of Education to the Donald R. Watson College of Education. The implementation of the change from school to college will be for the Fall semester 2012, officially, August 13, 2012, according to a letter dated June 20, 2012, from Suzanne T. Ortega, Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs, UNC General Administration, to UNCW Chancellor Gary L. Miller.

Residency Requirement:
To qualify for the bachelor’s degree, students must be enrolled in a degree program at UNCW and must have completed: (1) a minimum of 25 percent of the credit hours required for graduation through courses offered at UNCW and (2) 15 semester hours at the 300-400 level in the major at the 300-400 level. Exceptions to requirement (2) may be made only with the approval of the department chair or school director, and the appropriate dean. Requirement (1) may not be waived.
