FST 383 - Introduction to Latin American Cinema

Prerequisite: FST major or permission of instructor. Survey of history and aesthetics of Latin American film, from the “Golden Age” of Mexican cinema to the development of the New Latin American Cinema of the 1960’s, up to more recent work of the contemporary renaissance.
