Study of types of Biblical literature, including narratives from the Old and New Testaments, sermons, parables, and poetry. Attention to the Bible as literature in itself and as a source of symbols and allusions in Western culture. Partially satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Aesthetic, Interpretive, and Literary Perspectives.
