    Course Description: This course will examine the knowledge, skills and values the entry-level Athletic Trainer must possess to plan, implement, document and evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic exercise programs for the rehabilitation and reconditioning of the injuries and illnesses of athletes. Assessment techniques will be presented and discussed in a didactic manner as well as applied through lab experiences. The development of therapeutic goals and objectives, and methods of evaluating rehabilitation progress will be reviewed and applied. Furthermore, instruction on basic physiological adaptations to strength and speed development, exercise prescription, and function testing techniques will be reviewed as key components of a return to play or active daily living assessment.
