The Bachelor of Science in Data Science is an interdisciplinary program that blends mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Students majoring in Data Science gain a strong foundation in these areas of study to be more versatile and adaptive to navigate in the fast-changing landscape of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The program also prepares students on dedicated data science skills in machine learning, data visualization, databases, and other tools in high demand. The program equips students with the foundations and skills needed to enter directly into the workforce or continue their studies through graduate education.

Oral Requirements
To satisfy the oral communication requirement for the B.S. degree in Data Science, a student must successfully complete DSC 497 or DSC 498 . Requirements for a Major in Data Science for the B.S. Degree
A grade point average of 2.00 or better computed over all the courses used to fulfill the requirements of the major is required; in addition, a grade of “C-” or better is required for all core courses used to fulfill the major. Core Courses (53 Credit Hours)
