Graduate Coordinator: Ms. Diane Hogan
The Cameron School of Business offers a program of study leading to a Master of Science in Accountancy to qualified holders of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university regardless of undergraduate field of study. Students may concentrate in functional areas such as tax services or assurance, analytics and systems advisory. Coursework emphasizes teamwork and communication skills in addition to technical acumen. The purpose of the program is to prepare graduates to assume responsible accounting and managerial positions in public accounting, private industry, management consulting, government, and not-for-profit organizations. The MSA program will ensure all students that do not have CPA review material provided by their future employer, will have access, at no additional cost, to the Becker CPA Review program, with one section provided in the fall and the remaining sections in the spring. CPA exam guidance is provided throughout the program with the goal of having students take two sections while in the program and two sections the summer following graduation.

Admission Requirements
Applicants should have a strong overall undergraduate academic record. However, admission decisions are based on several factors and other indicators of success may be considered for admission.
- An application for graduate admission.
- Official transcripts of all college work (undergraduate and graduate).
- The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not required for applicants but is recommended for applicants with an overall cumulative bachelor’s GPA of less than 3.0.
- Three recommendations by individuals who can comment on the applicant’s potential for successful completion of a master’s program.
- Applicant’s resume.

Admission into the graduate program is conditional upon successful completion of a basic core of accounting coursework. Students with a grade below “C” will not be permitted to continue into the MSA program. Students enrolled in the MSA program must have access to a windows-based laptop (not a chromebook or mac).
