The Coaching and Mentoring Certificate is designed to enhance the leadership qualities and skills of professionals who desire to effectively mentor and coach individuals in various settings. Grounded in the latest research in mentoring and coaching, the program provides graduate students (from any discipline) the opportunity to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective mentors, mentees, and coaches.
The Coaching and Mentoring Certificate program will provide participants with a variety of diverse learning opportunities and hands-on experience as well as a field internship. Participants will learn about the principles of mentoring and coaching.

Certificate Program Objectives
Coaching is a strengths-based process that facilitates inevitable change in intentional ways. Whether the change is personal or organizational, it is a transformational tool that focuses on what could and should be and builds on what is already working. Grounded in evidence-based research, this program prepares you to coach in any context and aligns with the core competencies of the International Coaching Federation.

Certificate Requirements
The program requires a minimum of 12 credit hours. Students must complete:
