Gerontology Plus 1 Master’s Degree Option
Students must have a 3.0 GPA and be accepted into this program by the beginning of their senior year. During the senior year, the student will be allowed to take the following four course replacements:
Requirements to Complete the M.S. in Applied Gerontology
After completing the senior year and graduating with a degree in Public Health with a Gerontology concentration, the student will take the following courses in the plus 1 year to complete the Master’s Degree in Applied Gerontology:
Requirements: 9 credit hours
Note: Research Methods course - the requirement is waived for Public Health students.
Gerontology Electives: 15 credit hours
The student chooses 15 credit hours approved by the Gerontology program coordinator.
