Public Health B.S / Applied Gerontology M.S. - Combined Program

Gerontology Plus 1 Master’s Degree Option

Students must have a 3.0 GPA and be accepted into this program by the beginning of their senior year. During the senior year, the student will be allowed to take the following four course replacements:

• GRN 501 - Aging and Society  instead of SOC 336 Sociology of Aging  
• GRN 540 - Current Issues in Gerontology  instead of GRN 440 - Current Issues in Gerontology  
• GRN 523 - Physiology of Human Aging  instead of Approved Gerontology Elective
• PSY 524 - Psychology of Aging  instead of PSY 324 Psychology of Aging  

Requirements to Complete the M.S. in Applied Gerontology

After completing the senior year and graduating with a degree in Public Health with a Gerontology concentration, the student will take the following courses in the plus 1 year to complete the Master’s Degree in Applied Gerontology:
