The College of Arts and Sciences offers an interdisciplinary minor in Asian studies. The minor provides students with a multifaceted understanding of Asian societies, histories, languages, political systems, and geographies. Requirements for a Minor in Asian Studies:
A minor in Asian studies requires a total of 21 credit hours, distributed as 12 hours of core courses and 9 hours of designated electives.
At least six credits of the total 21 must be taken at the 300-level or above.
Substitutions may be approved for topic courses, seminars, directed individual study, field work, and/or study abroad that focus primarily on Asia. Students must have a grade of “C-” or better for each course counted towards the minor and an overall “C” (2.00) average or better for all courses counted for the minor.
