The Department of Communication Studies offers a B.A. in Communication Studies and an undergraduate Certificate in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC).
The B.A. includes a diverse undergraduate curriculum integrating application with theory in which the philosophy, practice, criticism, and study of communication are emphasized and balanced. Majors customize their academic experience in preparation for post-graduate education and/or professional careers across a wide spectrum of discipline specializations. Students will be admitted to the major after earning a B or better in two foundational courses.
The Certificate, open to majors and non-majors, prepares students for the practice of integrated marketing communication. IMC is a strategic communication process for the purpose of influencing audience behavior. Ideal for students from all disciplines interested in advocacy, promotion, and stakeholder engagement.
