Dr. Masters, chair and political science program coordinator. Dr. Barth, Dr. Biddle, Dr. Brennan, Dr. Brudney, Dr. Burnett, Dr. Horan, Dr. Imperial (public administration program coordinator), Dr. King, Dr. Kinzer, Dr. Kleinberg, Dr. Masters, Dr. Meinhold, Dr. Prentice, Dr. Sheridan.

The public and international affairs department offers a major in political science and minors in political science, international affairs, campaign management, and public administration for students seeking careers in government, the private sector, or the non-profit sector. The curriculum stresses analytical and critical thinking, quantitative analysis, and a theoretical understanding of the U.S. and other comparative political systems. Students may take an internship or other directed studies to gain a better understanding of the operations of government and non-profit agencies. The degree in political science is also helpful for students going on to graduate school or law school. All students entering the program are expected to be computer literate and able to access the course and departmental Web sites. Knowledge of the skills of research or of a modern foreign language is suggested (see the department chair for acceptable courses).
