ECN 331 - American Economic History This course will cover the development of the American economy from the colonial era to the present day. We will discuss the role of institutions and technological change in American economic growth. We will discuss some of the challenges Americans have faced throughout history, including slavery, financial crises, and inequality. Students will learn how economists use theory and data to interpret historical events.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: ECN 221 University Studies: Approaches and Perspectives/Foundations of American Democracy Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
