ANT 318  -  Religion and Public Life Across Cultures


Exploration of the relationship between religion and politics and the increasing role of religion in public life across different cultures in the contemporary world. Students will learn about the interactions between religion, politics, and public life in countries with ties to different majoritarian religions such as the U.S.A. (Protestant Christianity), France (Catholicism), Turkey (Sunni Islam), and India (Hinduism).
