EGN 330  -  Coastal Wave Mechanics

Study of the mechanics of wind-generated, water wave motion using linear and nonlinear wave theories. Addresses the kinematics, energy, and transformation of surface gravity waves. Other wave phenomena area also described (e.g., tsunamis, tides, and storm surges). Students apply wave theory to address coastal engineering topics in real-life settings.
