EGN 301  -  Mechanics of Solids

Elementary analysis of deformable solids subjected to force systems. Topics include material behavior; relationship between external forces acting on elastic and inelastic bodies and the resulting behavior; stress and deformation of bars, beams, shafts, pressure vessels, stress and strain; combined stresses; columns.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: EGN 201 (C- or better)
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
