SPN 490 - Service Learning and Research

Study of the Spanish-speaking population in a specific region, including discussion of topics such as migration, healthcare, education, language, politics, and identity. Each student completes 30 volunteer hours with a local agency that works with the Spanish-speaking community. Completion of a research project related to the Spanish-speaking population of a specific region or community is required.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: SPN 305 with a ‘C’ or better.
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Junior or senior standing.
